This month we present to you the food and wine pairings with our Coteaux du Giennois Blanc! For those who have not yet tasted it, at the end of this article you will have no more excuses for not presenting it to your table!
This appellation, less known than Sancerre or Pouilly Fumé, surprises us more and more with its finesse, elegance and aromas of flowers and citrus on the palate. Produced in the same way as our two other appellations, this cuvée is distinguished by its complex soil, limestone in the subsoil and clay-siliceous on the surface.
But with which dishes are we going to be able to taste this cuvée?
Starters: as an aperitif, with rillons, shellfish or sardines.
The dishes: Mixed salads (hot goat cheese toast, bacon, rillons for example), avocado toast, grilled fish, pizza or even a leek fondue!
Cheeses: Goat cheeses such as crottin de chavignol, pyramid of authon, cabecou.
The desert: apple pie, fruit crumble.
For our vegetarian friends, we recommend this cuvée with your summer salads, vegetable nuggets accompanied by a green salad, a tian of Mediterranean vegetables or a vegetable sandwich.
